Catherine

I have been waiting to use this location for a session and was thrilled when Catherine's mom trusted me that it would be perfect for what she was wanting. Once we got there mom agreed completely! Very natural, outdoorsy, and a pretty creek to boot. So pretty!

The Organic Bloom Frame - SALE!

Some of you may recognize these photos from awhile back that I took of my boys. I knew that I wanted to print these and have them hung in our home. They are still my favorite pictures that I have taken of the two of them together! I also knew that The Organic Bloom frames were going to be the best way to display them. With so many color options and styles I knew I could make this display fun and colorful - perfect for our little boys' playroom. Because I don't have a studio I also wanted to have several styles, sizes, and colors to be able to show clients how versatile they are. I just love how it came out! Also, one of these photos was chosen as The Organic Bloom's Facebook profile picture! Such an honor :) All frames are discounted 20% while pic is their profile - hurry this may only be another day or two at most!

I would love to help you create your own The Organic Bloom display, ask me about a FREE in home consultation! Bonus - Drabek Photography clients get special print discounts with their frame purchases :)

** keep reading to the bottom**

Of course I could not just get these as examples, oh no, I had to get ALL The Organic Frames! Baby Bloom pics coming soon!

I Heart Faces - Beautiful Eyes Entry

What a hard theme this week! Mainly because I couldn't choose just one picture. Do I pick my own kids? a recent never seen picture? a favorite old picture? take a whole new picture? Too hard I tell ya.

This lovely image ended up being my choice. It was from my first session, ever. So much has changed in my life, photography and personally, since this was taken. That is the reason I picked it. I love her eyes too - of course, hello, gorgeous - but opening this reinforced my feelings of change. First, I never would have been brave enough to enter a picture of mine to be judged, even if I did love it, in an I Heart faces contest. I was confident but not confident enough to do that. Second, I had to "fix" it. The me of now opened this original edit and said "I can do better now and so I will" and tweaked it some. Which reinforces my feelings of change about my art and myself. My equipment, skill set, education, some of my views about photography, my desire for even more education, eye for composition and style (although I still think this was perfect so cropping was not changed), my aspirations, my views about myself, my family, my clients, my direction - all of it is like this picture - we started one way together and now today we are changed. I know you have changed. If you saw this in it's original posting - thank you for still being here! - I am sure your life is different. Possibly you never saw the original post of this portrait - welcome! - and you being here is a change for us both :) Some changes have happened and some are still to come. The only constant is change ~ Heraclitus
