Kelly was so much fun to photograph for her fifth birthday. We ran around and played and I just followed her to see what was next. My theory is that if you let the kids have some choices and input as to what they are doing it will look more natural and therefore really show their personality off. If you only ask them to sit still and "pose" a little here and there they are more likely to cooperate and can handle it better if they know they get to play again really soon.
