Bluebonnet Sessions are FULL! - McKinney, TX Child and Family Photographer

 
   What an overwhelming response to bluebonnets this year! I am so pleased to say I have filled all my sessions and will be closing out the rest of April as being full as well. For everyone that missed getting on the books this year, please email me and I can add you to my Bluebonnet Watch List for 2012. Thank you to all the families I have booked, I appreciate you and can't wait to see your smiling faces in the sunshine - because there will be sunshine gosh darn it.

New things for Spring! ~ McKinney, TX Child and Family Photographer

 ~ Spring has meant some sprucing up around here at Drabek Photography! I am excited for all the changes I have made for this year. They will be so helpful for my clients and me. (Read all the way to end for a very special change!) ~

~ I have new gift certificates - pretty right?! They are in stock and ready for Mother's Day gifts. ~

~ A new referral program - all clients that book a session this year will get enrolled! ~

~ I have a new email/newsletter system!! So very handy - I need all the organizing help I can get :) Plus it doesn't hurt that they are so pretty to look at. ~

Bluebonnet sessions are now open to all! If you have not already confirmed your session time and date with me now is your chance! ~Bluebonnet mini sessions~ 30 minutes up to 4 people 10 -12 edited images with reprint rights $59 + tax Families with more than 4 people participating are encouraged to book a full session. Dates available Monday April 11th - Friday April 15th (2 mini sessions or 1 full session will be offered on these days) sessions start at 5:00pm. Saturday April 16th and Sunday April 17th Mini and Full Sessions will be offered these days. Sessions start at 9:00am with last session starting at 5:30. Times will vary based on types of sessions booked. I will do my best to fit everyone in. There will be a lunch break in there for me too :) The dates for Dallas Arboretum sessions are picked! Saturday April 2nd and Sunday April 3rd Session times are limited these days: 9:00 am (picked for both days) 9:45am 10:30am 11:15am Please see the Arboretum website for parking and entry fees. Please also allow time for parking in case the lot is full and they are bussing patrons from an off site lot! ~ Arboretum mini sessions~ 30 minutes up to 4 people 10-12 edited images with reprint rights $59 + tax (I will be waiving the travel fee to the Arboretum on these days) Families with more than 4 people are encouraged to book a full session.      ©2011 Drabek Photography | McKinney, TX

~ I have a new Client Contract that explains all kinds of picky little details so I won't forget them and so I can protect myself and my work. It will also help and protect my clients too, yeah! (no pic, it is useful but not really pretty) ~

~ Shout out to Brandie for giving me free therapy sessions, as I call them, and tolerating my frequent rants. I appreciate your patience and input bunches. Thanks chica and I can't wait to do the same for you when you start your business. ~

~ Thank you hubby for taking in stride and tolerating me being up crazy hours working on this, missing soccer practice, and not doing much cooking or cleaning or anything for that matter. Your help and encouragement has meant everything to me. No way would all this be possible otherwise. Love you babe! ~

Last sneak peek. Ever!

       I have been trying to figure out a way to pass on some news - not bad, I don't think anyway, just noteworthy - and thought if I give ya some cute kiddos to look at it might make it go down a little easier.  Collages - good or bad????

         I will no longer be posting sneak peeks of sessions. I will still be posting pictures of course - just after clients have received them. A lot of thought and many reasons have brought me to this decision. The most important reason is my desire to offer my clients the best service possible. By not posting sneak peeks it will make my workflow process a lot smoother and therefore clients will get their pictures faster. I am thinking this will give things a more consistant appearance in the end too. Also, it will make sure that clients will be able to see their pictures, let me know which ones they will be using for invites, gifts, and cards, and I will not be leaking them before they have a chance to share. Since I also will now be offering the downloadable gallery instead of flash drives you can share your photos with family and friends as soon as you receive it - and not wait for me to post later on. I will still be showing you a peek on my camera screen before you leave your session so you are reassured knowing we got great images. I hope that everyone understands and promise it is a good thing for us both :)

Membership has its privileges they say.

             I could not be where I am without the help and support of so many wonderful friends and family. Friends of friends. And friends that are like family :) (more on how this benefits you in a sec) In this career I have chosen I have to be a season, or at least a several weeks, ahead in my planning. In October I was thinking about Christmas. Now a week after Halloween and just weeks before Thanksgiving I am thinking about the New Year. I am looking at some new business plan model ideas, how to continue to grow my knowledge of this business and my craft, and of course how I can reward my clients in ways they find the most beneficial. I am not going anywhere, this first year has for sure shown me this, and I can't wait to move forward. I am meant to do this! I also want you to know that I will not forget where I started. With you. My first year and repeat clients. I am not going to give any news away right now about next year, but I am still open to your suggestions. If you haven't already booked for this year - you might want to go ahead and do that... I'm just sayin.

Previous clients please email me your thoughts, ideas, or suggestions of how I can better serve you, what you would like to see me offer next year, and in general what would make you an even happier client of mine. Do you have a business and want to work together on a project with Drabek Photography? Are you another photographer and want to work together? If you have not booked a session this year, I would love to hear how I can earn your business next year. (you just might get rewarded if you participate...never know till you try!)

Schedule Updates and Reminders!

{ SCHEDULE UPDATES }

*November 8th is the last mini session weekday available. Time slots are 4:30 or 5:15pm, one location, first come first served.

*November weekends are now full. Limited weekday availability.

*November 13th - Last Chance Mini Session day still has available time slots - this is the last weekend I will promise pictures done in time for Holiday cards and only weekend day I will do mini sessions.

*I will not be available the weekend before, week of, or the weekend after Thanksgiving.

*October 31st is the last day to schedule for December! Only full and event sessions are available for this month, dates are very limited. Newborn sessions are the only exception to this rule, please contact me asap with your due date though so I can have a general idea. Newborn sessions need to be completed by or before 10 days old.

*December 10th is the last day I will place orders for products and prints from any session for holiday gifts. Anything ordered after this date is not promised to be done before 12/25 and additional shipping charges may apply.

{ REMINDERS }

*     This is a busy time of year for everyone, me included! Your time is valuable to me and I am grateful that you have chosen me as your photographer. I will honor your scheduled session time by being prompt and ready for your family. Please honor my time and family by being prompt and ready for your session. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your session so we have a chance to visit and get comfortable before we start taking pictures. If you are running late, life happens - especially if you have kids like me, always call as soon as possible to let me know. If you are late, 15 minutes or more, you can choose to have this time taken out of your session time or pay to have your session time extended. (If possible based on availability after your session's original end time.) Adding on to your session is $25 for every 15minutes. If this will not work on your session day we can work together to find to another time that is better for us both.
